About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Rachel, a Therapist and Counsellor registered with The BACP (MBACP).
I offer a space in which to reflect, where you will feel seen and heard and where you can feel that change is possible.
I work empathically, supporting you to bring awareness to whatever feels challenging or limiting in your life. I’m interested in your unique experiences and identity, and whatever has brought you here.
I work with clients who are feeling stuck and whose ways of coping no longer seem to work, clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties and those coming to terms with loss or trauma. I also work with clients who are experiencing a shift in their identity and want to find balance in their life. Whatever is going on for you, I will listen openly and with curiosity, and may challenge you when a different perspective might be helpful.
I also have extensive experience supporting families experiencing difficulties with fertility, pregnancy and parenthood and have worked in The NHS for over 25 years as a trained midwife.
Practice description
I am warm, open, curious and honest and will work together with you, supporting you to make the changes you want to feel in your life. Therapy can feel challenging and I respect the commitment that my clients make.
I offer a space which is :
- Open and honest
- Curious about what makes you ‘you’
- Where you feel seen and listened to, and
- Where we can explore our difference and how we connect with one another
I am trained in Gestalt Therapy, which works with the ‘here and now’ helping you to develop more awareness of yourself and how you are in relationship to others. I work with a trauma informed lens and support clients who feel cut-off from themselves, re-connecting mind and body holistically through mindfulness and bodily awareness.
I adhere to the BACP code of ethics, have regular supervision and am committed to my professional development so I can best support my clients.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get a sense of one another and for you to experience how we might work together. It is important for you to feel you have a ‘good fit’ with your therapist and there is no commitment to work together at this point.
If we decide to continue, we can explore what feels right for you; some clients want a short period of sessions, others feel they need longer-term therapy. We will arrange a weekly time that will be yours with reviews to see how the therapy is working.
If you would like to book an initial 15 minute consultation or if you have any questions, please contact me via the contact form or message.

Hello I'm Rachel, a Therapist and Counsellor registered with The BACP (MBACP).

I am warm and open and provide a space in which to reflect, to feel seen and heard, and a space where you can feel that change is possible.
Walking in Epping Forest we will explore what has brought you to therapy, using nature to calm our nervous system and ground us in the present moment.
Perhaps you are feeling stuck, and your ways of coping no longer seem to work. Or you are experiencing relationship difficulties, feelings of depression or anxiety, or coming to terms with loss or trauma. You may be feeling a shift in your identity or simply want to find balance in your life. Whatever is going on for you, I am here to say that you can feel better and that therapy can help to support you.
I also have extensive experience supporting families during fertility, pregnancy and parenthood and have worked in The NHS for over 25 years as a trained midwife.
