Hi, my name is Suzanne, firstly thank you for looking at my profile. I am an experienced and fully qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have experience in working with both young people and adults.
Imagine having someone by your side who's dedicated to helping you untangle those knots in your mind. Someone who can provide a safe space for you to explore your emotions and work through them at your own pace. Are you feeling overwhelmed or stressed, finding it hard to share difficult emotions with loved ones but need to talk? The world can sometimes feel challenging and hard to navigate.
In addition to my private practice, I work as a Palliative Care and Bereavement Counsellor in a Hospice and also a school counsellor at a secondary school. Previous experience includes counselling women at a women’s centre who faced various challenges in their lives including relationship problems, domestic abuse, health issues and loss of identity . I have also worked in a pupil referral unit with parents whose children were unable to attend mainstream school.
As an integrative counsellor I adapt my approach to suit the needs of each client, providing a safe and compassionate environment where we can explore any challenges and difficulties which you may be facing. The pace of the sessions will be led by you and I will professionally support you at each stage, my role is to help you find clarity and inner peace.
Finding the right counsellor for you is important. I know it is not easy to open up and put your trust in a stranger, but I will do my best to reassure you as you take those first steps.
Please email me if you have any questions about counselling, we can then make an initial free 20-minute telephone call to help me understand how I could support you and whether I am the right counsellor for you.
I am supported by regular supervision to support my work and fully insured.
Practice description
I am located within easy reach of Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley, Bovingdon, Berkhamsted, Tring, St. Albans, Watford, Amersham & Chesham.
Additionally, I can offer online or telephone counselling upon request.

My first session
During our first session we will go through the Counselling Agreement which would have been emailed to you first , then the rest of the session is for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling and what our focus will be.
As well as discussing the Counselling Agreement I will ask you to complete a form which helps us to understand how you have been feeling over the past week. These forms are used regularly throughout our time together to see how things are going and the progression of the therapy.
