About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Neil, a qualified Counsellor with extensive experience supporting both young people and adults. My clients come with a variety of issues, including low self-esteem, anxiety, anger, self-harm, trauma, relationships, and family conflicts. I also have extensive experience in working with neurodiverse clients, including those with Autism and ADHD who might be finding it difficult to navigate a neurotypical world.

Above all I offer a confidential space without judgement where you can freely explore the thoughts and emotions that are impacting your daily life and well being.

I qualified as a Counsellor after a successful career in Hospitality, where serving and supporting people was at the forefront of everything I achieved. It has also provided me with invaluable life experience that I believe now compliments and enhances my approach as a Counsellor.

I am a registered Member of the BACP and hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

As well as a private practice I am a School Counsellor and also provide Counselling sessions to a local Charitable Practice in Newbury for Young People and Adults.

I am currently studying a post graduate Level 7 in Life and Business Coaching

Practice description

Practicing a person-centred integrative approach, I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. Whether you want to explore past experiences or overcome negative self-beliefs, I respect your autonomy in charting your own journey. Sometimes, I may ask questions to help you delve deeper, but your direction is always paramount. My role is to help you nurture your personal strengths and work towards a more fulfilling and rewarding life.

My practice is guided by ethical guidelines and professional standards of the BACP ensuring your well-being is always my priority.

I am based at dedicated Counselling Rooms in the centre of Newbury.

I look forward to hearing from you

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute confidential Discovery Meeting so we can find out a little about each other and decide whether we would be a good fit to begin Counselling sessions together.

If you are a parent of a child under 16 then again I am happy for you to introduce your child before they have a confidential chat with me.

I do not require a minimum number of sessions to be booked, rather we just take it one session at a time
