About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm, intuitive and collaborative therapist, specialising in helping clients struggling with life transitions and feeling stuck (particularly in patterns of depression, anxiety or low self worth) as well as those working in the arts and creative industries.

As a therapist, I have a large amount of experience and expertise in:

Life transitions (such as parenthood, career change, end of relationship or bereavement)

Feeling stuck (in patterns of depression, anxiety or low self worth, with shame and traumatic memories, in life, career, or relationships)

Helping those working in the arts and creative industries (particularly perfectionism, stress, and burnout)

In addition as a therapist I can support with: stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, shame, trauma and relationship issues.

My approach is humanistic. Put simply, this means I work in a personalised, open and collaborative way with each client, engaging deeply with their internal worlds. I pay close attention to what you want and help you understand, and perhaps change your relationship with, some of the invisible obstacles that stand in your way.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are usually weekly though we can discuss your needs and I will do what I can to accommodate them.

Practice description

I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Therapist (MBACP) available in-person at Archway Therapy, N19 & online.

A good working relationship is at the heart of successful therapy. It is therefore important for you to find the right match, someone you feel comfortable to talk to and be with. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to start the process. You can find out what working with me might be like, check we are a good fit and get answers to questions you might have. There is no obligation to continue.

If we decide to work together, in our first session I will try to fully understand where you're at and where you want to be. My priority is to create a good rapport, a warm and open relationship in which you can talk about anything on your mind whilst feeling fully accepted as you are.

As we progress I will work in an attentive, intuitive, calm and transparent way, always led by you and your agenda as we explore the issues you are facing.

I see our working relationship as a robust, collaborative dialogue - a quest we're on together, through the challenges you're facing towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

In terms of time, we can work in either a time-limited (usually 6-24 sessions) or open ended way, both of which have benefits depending on your situation. We can discuss what feels right for you when we speak. Either way we will review regularly to ensure you are getting what you need from our work together.

I work from a private and comfortable therapy room in North London next to Dartmouth Hill Park:

Archway Therapy, London, N19 is a short walk from Upper Holloway & Gospel Oak Overground or Tufnell Park & Archway tube. It is a short bus journey from Hornsey, Finsbury Park, Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Kentish Town and Camden.

My first session

Our first session will be an opportunity to assess if I am the right therapist for you. If I think I can help, we will discuss creating a plan for our work. You then go away and decide if you want to continue. If I can think of someone better suited to your needs, or if you don't think that we could work well together, I'll do all I can to match you up with another, better-suited therapist for you.

Clients I work with
