About me and my therapy practice
I offer a confidential, safe space and time for clients to explore any concerns or problems they are experiencing. During our sessions you will have the opportunity to discuss whatever issues you are struggling with in order to reach a deeper understanding of yourself, others and your circumstances and most crucially to identify anything that you wish to change and work towards your goals. Together in our sessions, I will work sensitively so as to strengthen and empower you in the here-and-now to deal with recent events, on-going or long-standing issues that may have surfaced in your life.
I work with clients presenting a range of mental health issues and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, relationship problems both in their personal and professional lives. One area of experience and special interest for me is attachment which affects all of us, as well as traumatic experiences.
I'm a Graduate member with the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) with a first-class degree in Psychology and I have completed the Level 7 post graduate Diploma with the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy and through them am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and UKCP Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College (HIPC).
Additionally, I have a BA (Hons) Business Management (2:1) and a CQSW qualification (CCETSW) as well as an MSc from University of Oxford and MSt University of Cambridge. I have extensive experience working within the Criminal Justice System, mental health as well as charitable work such as providing counselling as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care since the Covid Pandemic. Also, in 2023 I completed a Level 7 Post Grad module in 'Formulations and Therapeutic approaches to working with Personality Disorder' (UCLan).
