About me and my therapy practice
I’m a retired NHS doctor who has re-trained as an Integrative Counsellor and Coach. Welcome to my integrative approach to mental and emotional well-being, where counselling meets coaching in a comprehensive framework aimed at personal exploration and growth.
I’m Jenny, I've worked as a doctor in the NHS for the past 30 years. I have re-trained as an Integrative Counsellor and Coach at the University of East London.
Here, you will find a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your inner landscape with gentle guidance. Through compassionate listening and tailored therapeutic approaches, I aim to empower you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
I can see you for counselling alone or for counselling with coaching.
In the counselling component, I provide a safe, nurturing and supportive space to explore and heal past wounds, unravel unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour, and cultivate self-awareness and resilience.
If I am seeing you for counselling with coaching, when you are ready, we move into the more forward-focused, action-oriented coaching component, aimed at helping you to identify your strengths, clarify your values, and develop strategies to create positive change in your life.
My medical training means I have a clear understanding of the nervous system and the mind-body connection, honouring the intricate interplay between mind, brain and body.
Central to my practice is the concept of self-compassion—a transformative tool for cultivating inner peace and emotional balance.
Drawing from the latest research in neuroscience and mindfulness, I empower you to develop a kinder, more nurturing relationship with yourself, fostering greater self-awareness and acceptance.
Practice description
I see clients face to face in my fully accessible therapy room in Kentish Town. I offer weekly counselling, or counselling with coaching.
We would start with a free 20 minute video call to talk through your needs and discuss how I can help.
If we are both happy to proceed, we will arrange a day and time to meet weekly. I will send you a short contract to read with details about where I am, payment, holidays etc.
My first session
Our first session is spent agreeing the terms of our work together, and hearing more about how I can support you.
I will share with you the ways in which I work and answer any questions you might have.
