I work with a flexible approach for clients throughout the UK, who wish to access support in a comfortable and convenient environment which is suitable for them. I offer counselling/therapy sessions via online and telephone during the days, evenings, weekdays and weekends.
If email is your preferred method of contact, please check your spam or junk mail if you haven't received my response.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Person-Centred counsellor with a warm and compassionate personality. In order to help my clients manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviour with a clear understanding of the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and soul, I give them the freedom to understand themselves and their problems on a deeper level.
In addition, I have 15 years of professional experience working in hospitals, community, and NHS support settings. During this time, I have helped many people and their families deal with a range of difficulties, such as loss, grief, end of life and bereavement, health issues, addiction, mental health problems, physical disabilities and learning needs. I have worked in youth centres, where I supported parents and vulnerable children, and I have a great deal of experience providing emotional support to detainees in police stations across Greater Manchester.
I’ve also worked with a diverse range of young adults and adults who have experienced trauma, trauma related to crime or gangs, grooming, PTSD, substance abuse, alcoholism, homelessness, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), family and relationships, challenges in the work place or educational setting and other common stresses that people encounter in their daily lives.
I offer an initial free 30-minutes consultation so we can get to know one another a little better and to see if I could be the right therapist for you.
Individual 90-minute sessions are also available, and this could be for you if you have a specific issue that you need support with and don't feel you need the traditional short-term or longer-term counselling/therapy – such as immediate support, clarity, and perspective.
Practice description
No two clients are the same, and no one size fits all. To best meet your goals, I customise my work to each client's unique needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic ideas and approaches.
Whether you are managing relationships, families, and the responsibilities of life, or you are feeling numb and overtaken by emotions, you will be made to feel welcome in a trustworthy, safe, non-judgemental environment where you are heard, understood, and believed due to my compassionate listening style.
Life can throw many obstacles in our path because it's not always clear-cut and as simple as we'd like it to be. Some of them may be "in the moment," arising from recent experiences like health, bereavement, or redundancies, while others may have been a part of your life for a while, including problems in your family relationships or behaviours that you find difficult to understand and find difficult to let go of. Coping strategies that were once a reliable way of coping such as substance abuse, alcoholism, and gambling may now be contributing to the issue and costing you more than money. Together, we will establish your objectives and work towards implementing positive changes.
Areas I can help with include:
- Addiction
- Anxiety
- Autism
- Bereavement
- Eating disorders
- First counselling session
- Grief
- OCD
- Phobias
My first session
Before we engage into a therapy agreement, I will complete a counselling assessment prior to the first session to make sure that counselling and my style of working are the right fit for you.
Following the counselling assessment, which enables me to learn more about your background and goals for the therapy relationship, if you are comfortable moving forward, I will go over the counselling agreement, which outlines the responsibilities we each have as client and counsellor in the therapeutic relationship (including fees, sessions, confidentiality, cancellations, and if you do not attend etc).

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, OCD, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Substance Dependency, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
