About me and my therapy practice
Working together therapeutically through an IFS (Internal Family Systems) lens can help you better understand yourself and heal from life's wounds.
You will be fully seen and heard in a space where you can tell your story how you need to tell it, free from judgment, criticism, or consequence.
Working in this way can help you gain insight into how you behave, feel, and think, offering answers to your question of 'why'.
You may wish to:
- Heal from painful life events
- Reduce your anxiety & stress levels
- Lift low mood or depression
- Explore your feelings around bereavement & loss
- Connect the many conflicting parts of you & discover your inner sense of Self
- Understand your behaviours & habits
- Live a more fulfilling and joyful life
Counselling helps you unpick your tangled past life to gain clarity and calm in the now. Coaching enables you to make informed changes to impact your future vision and goals.
Every journey of self-discovery begins with one simple step. However daunting that first step may seem, I will support and guide you from start to finish on your journey toward health, happiness and healing.
About Lucy:
Since 2010, I have worked privately, in a 1:1 capacity, with clients as a Yoga Therapist, Meditation Teacher, and Breath-work facilitator.
Working with the body feels authentic, true and powerful. However, something was missing, and so in 2021, I filled that gap by enrolling on the pioneering integrative counselling & coaching post-graduate degree at the University of East London, graduating in 2023.
I have since completed my Level 1 Training in IFS (Internal Family Systems) in the Summer of 2024 and now work primarily through the IFS lens.
Working within the IFS framework is hugely revealing and beneficial, allowing you to build up a precious and personal map of your inner world and how it relates to your external environment.
I'm equipped to support individuals in all aspects of their being, including their head, heart, body, and soul.
Let's get started!
Practice description
Expertise & experience
Working therapeutically with hundreds of clients has taught me one key thing: “We are all ultimately searching for health, to feel truly whole.”
I have gained a level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Coaching from The University of East London. This unique, pioneering course takes a fully integrated 360-degree view of every person, seamlessly and progressively exploring their past, present and future dynamics within the therapy space. We integrate counselling and coaching to support you in all aspects of your journey through life, past present and future.
In 2024, I completed my Level 1 Training in IFS Therapy through IFS UK.
My personal approach to counselling respects and validates our bodies and their unique language as much as our hearts and minds.
Calming techniques are shared, such as breathwork, meditation or body scans, helping you to stay in the present moment and reduce anxiety or panic. With talking therapy, somatic experiencing, system thinking and tuning into the wisdom of the nervous system, my approach sees you as a complete living, breathing human becoming.
Modalities integrated:
- Person Centred
- Psychodynamic
- Transactional analysis
- IFS
- Gestalt
- CBT
