About me and my therapy practice

Reaching out for help is the first step…

I understand that talking can be difficult, especially if feelings have been buried for a long while. I will work with compassion and at your pace, ensuring you feel comfortable and safe.

Therapy can help to make sense of how you feel and gain greater self-awareness. It can be a place to understand and address current and/or past issues, identify patterns and create change. Confronting difficult feelings can be challenging however therapy can provide a secure place to express them. Knowing that you are not alone on your journey, but that someone is next to you along the way can provide some comfort.

I am a warm, empathic person who can provide a professional non-judgmental space for you to work through problems that are affecting you. I have experience of working with a range of different issues, such as, but not a limited to relationship difficulties, loss, abuse, trauma, bullying, self-harm, stress, domestic violence, anxiety, and depression.

Practice description

As a relational practitioner, I place great value on the therapeutic relationship and the importance of building trust. I work predominantly from a person-centered core, which holds you as the expert focusing on what you want to explore in therapy. I believe that there is potential in all of us to move towards change. A person-centered approach seeks to empower your awareness of this, progressing towards a more authentic self. As a trained, experienced integrative therapist I can adopt different therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, Psychodynamic, and attachment to suit your needs.

I am experienced working with both adults and adolescents and can provide short- and long-term therapy.

I hold full professional and public liability insurance. I am also DBS (CRB) enhanced checked, this can be viewed up request.
