About me and my therapy practice

As a qualified psychotherapist, I provide a kind and compassionate approach focussing on listening within a supportive, safe and confidential environment. My particular areas of interest are working with adults through difficulties in relationships; addictions and addictive behaviours; and in supporting the emotional wellbeing of young people. I also specialise in issues associated with the long term effects of boarding school where we can reflect on difficult and often overwhelming feelings. In my experience, working together with a professional therapist can be the turning point in unlocking life's potential through a process of psychological growth.

I have experience with helping adults, children and young people through an integrative approach to therapy. I hold specialist qualifications in psychotherapy for addiction and recovery, and I am specially trained to work with individuals experiencing the long term effects of boarding school. Some of my work into boarding school has been published, with a particular focus on the impact of Boarding School Syndrome on intimate relationships.

Having worked with children as a teacher and in SEN for over 15 years, I have a deep understanding of how they develop and the issues that can arise and I offer specialist support for young people. I am specifically trained in working with adults experiencing relationship issues and addictive behaviours triggered by past experiences including boarding school.
