About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm and supportive Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering sessions online and on the telephone. I work with clients facing many challenges including anxiety, family issues, stress at work and at home, and bereavement. I am an experienced Hospice Counsellor and support people living with a terminal diagnosis, their friends, family and carers. I support adults exploring a diagnosis of ADHD or ASD for themselves or their children.
I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey towards a life lived with happiness and fulfilment, exploring aspects of your self and your life which you may not feel able to do with family or friends.
Life is often busy and we can experience a sense of being overwhelmed and feelings of not being able to cope, we can feel as though we are losing ourselves and our sense of who we are. This can impact our relationships, families and work and can lead to us suppressing parts of ourselves to fit in with or please others, or to avoid judgement. Whatever stage of life you are at, I would like to offer you a safe space where you can explore your feelings without judgement and we can work together to discover a more positive future.
Practice description
Whether you are seeking support around your past or present, I provide a safe space where the focus is on you and the problems that you are facing, where you can speak openly and really be heard.
At any stage of life we can feel overwhelmed and unable to cope, lose our sense of who we are and our sense of purpose. This can make us feel anxious and we may experience prolonged periods of low mood. In a safe space, we can work together to explore issues which are causing or contributing to these feelings and begin to manage difficult emotions around them.
I have experience in neurodiversity, supporting adults seeking assessment for ASD or ADHD or coming to terms with a diagnosis, and parents exploring ways to better understand and support their childrens neurodivergent world.
I am an experienced Hospice Counsellor and support people living with a terminal diagnosis, their family, friends and carers.
I am able to offer you support in exploring your grief following bereavement and have additional experience with those who have lost a life partner at a young age navigating the unique challenges which this brings including managing your own grief whilst supporting grieving children, lone parenting and returning to the workplace.
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £55
My first session
Reaching out to a Counsellor is the first part of the journey and can be incredibly difficult which is why I offer a free 15 minute video call to answer any questions which you may have before deciding whether you feel we will work well together.
The idea of sharing your most personal feelings can be very challenging, but many clients find that once they begin to open up in a warm and safe space, they feel as though a weight has lifted.
In the first 50 minute session we can explore what has brought you to counselling and how we may work together to achieve your goals. I will always work with you to help you feel safe, heard and understood.
If you are ready to begin your therapy journey and would like to find out more about how we could work together, please contact me for a free initial 15 minute chat or to book an initial 50 minute session.
