About me and my therapy practice

I understand that we can all encounter times when life feels particularly hard. Perhaps you’re feeling the impact of past hurts, traumas or unresolved issues. Maybe there seems to be no reason for the difficulties and challenges you are currently experiencing and just need time and space to talk things through with an experienced professional. I can offer a non-judgmental, empathetic and a confidential space to do this, and together we will create a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Though my professional practice is rooted in person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, I am an integrative therapist. Meaning that I can use a range of modalities to meet my client’s individual, personal and unique needs. We will work together to establish whether short or longer-term therapy will best meet your requirements.

Having worked several years within the NHS and then transitioning into a role as an operational lead for a mental health charity, I better understand a wide range of mental health issues and the internal and external factors which may impact upon these. By having a deep understanding of the often difficult challenges that we are presented with in life. Whether traumatic events, work, financial pressures, family conflicts, health concerns, or cultural and identity struggles to name just a few, we will work together to look deeply into these concerns, in a safe and manageable way and work towards resolution.

I enjoy working with a diverse and wide ranging client group, and have vast experience in working with clients from marginalised communities.
