About me and my therapy practice

You may be going through a particularly painful time right now, maybe getting through the day feels overwhelming or harder than usual. Perhaps you are feeling stuck, lost or disconnected and your usual strategies aren't working. Equally, you might feel curious about therapy and want to see what the experience might offer you.

I am a qualified psychotherapist offering short and long term therapy online and in-person based in East London. I offer a safe and supportive space where you can talk freely and without judgement. I am interested in hearing your story; what being 'you' feels like on the day to day as well as how your experience fits within wider histories and interpersonal webs.

My practice LGBTQIA+ affirming. I welcome clients of all gender identities, sexualities and relationship structures.

Practice description

My Approach

My practice is mainly informed by the psychodynamic approach which is an open-ended, non-directive form of therapy that aims to get to the root of experience and create long-lasting change. Together we will explore your experience in depth and detail, noticing underlying patterns and recurring themes, drawing links between past and present and noticing how it feels to relate to each other and what this says about how you relate to people more generally.

In our work, I will support you in processing difficult feelings which you might usually ignore or distract yourself from. By facing these feelings within the context of a safe and trusting relationship, you may experience relief, comfort and the revitalising experience of feeling seen and understood. The experience can be transformative, allowing you to free up mental space, feel more connected to yourself and your desires as well as other people in your life.

My Experience

In the past, I have worked in community mental health settings and as a volunteer counsellor for an LGBTQIA+ charity. I have worked with clients struggling with; anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, panic attacks, difficulties with attachment and intimacy, childhood trauma, relationship breakdown, loss and bereavement, gender identity, life transitions such as starting university, changing careers or beginning/maintaining/ending a relationship.

My first session

I offer an initial consultation (two sessions) at a reduced rate of £50 per 50 minute session. This offers space to get to know each other and see if it feels like the right fit.

My reduced cost spaces are full at the moment but please get in touch if you would like to be added to my waiting list.
