About me and my therapy practice
I was motivated to train as a Counsellor as a result of my own experiences of seeking out and engaging in counselling and the transformative effect it had on my own mental wellbeing and relationships. I can therefore empathise with clients about what a big step it can seem to arrange and engage in that first conversation.
I believe all therapy is about helping individuals address their unique emotional, psychological, and behavioural issues therefore I look to tailor my approach based on the clients specific needs, this inherently makes for a highly personalised experience.

Structuring the work
Structuring therapy around a limited number of sessions, such as six sessions, can be beneficial for various reasons, especially when considering financial considerations and practical effectiveness. Here are some reasons why this approach can be valuable:
Financial Considerations:
Limited sessions can make therapy more financially accessible to individuals who may be constrained by budgetary concerns.
Clear Time Frame:
A set number of sessions provides a clear time frame for both the therapist and the client. This can help manage expectations and create a sense of structure, making it easier for individuals to plan and commit to the therapy process.
Early Evaluation of Effectiveness:
Six sessions offer a midpoint for both the therapist and the client to assess progress and effectiveness. This structure allows for early evaluation of whether the therapy is helping and if adjustments or additional sessions are necessary.
It's important to note that some individuals may require longer-term therapy depending on the complexity of their concerns. Therefore, the decision to structure therapy around a specific number of sessions should be made in consideration of individual needs and the nature of the presenting issues.
I provide regular communication with my clients this is key to ensuring that the therapeutic process remains effective and aligned with the client's goals.
