About me and my therapy practice

Are you a busy person or juggling roles of responsibility? I understand that your time may be precious. I offer confidential, short-term counselling, with discounts for NHS staff, students and over 60s.

My aim is to provide bespoke high-quality therapy, so that you feel that you have spent your time and money wisely. I welcome enquiries from any individual age 18 and over, including professionals.

About Me: As well as being a fully qualified counsellor, I am an experienced hospital doctor, having worked in the NHS for more than 20 years.

My Qualifications: MBACP (Reg), Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice MA (Distinction), FRCP, MBChB, BSc.

Practice description

My counselling style:  Integrative.   I start with a Person Centred Approach, working phenomenologically (appreciating your viewpoint).  Additional techniques such as CBT, emotion focusing or transpersonal methods, may be offered.  This is different for each client.   You can read more about Integrative counselling here:  https://www.bacp.co.uk/about-therapy/types-of-therapy/integrative-counselling/

I have a research interest in using music in therapy sessions, please enquire if this is of interest.

Location: Remote (video conferencing) from anywhere; In person – Liverpool or Wirral. Home-visits can be arranged for clients with mobility concerns - please enquire. 

Flexible timings, evenings included.

Sessions: Max 20.  Price: £50 for 1 hour.  Enquire for discounts.
