About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified psychotherapist with extensive experience in Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy. I offer a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges. My approach integrates psychodynamic principles, which focus on understanding how past experiences shape present behaviour, alongside evidence-based techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support healing from trauma and distress.
I am a BPS-Chartered Psychologist and hold a PhD. Alongside my therapy practice, I work as a Senior Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University, where I educate and inspire the next generation of psychotherapists. This dual role keeps me at the forefront of psychological research and practice, enriching my therapeutic work with the latest developments in the field.
I specialise in helping individuals with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and self-esteem issues. With expertise in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, I adapt my approach to suit each person’s unique needs and life experiences.
Using a holistic and collaborative method, I guide clients through a journey of self-discovery and growth, helping them to uncover their strengths, recognise patterns, and develop strategies for lasting change. Whether we are exploring deeper unconscious conflicts through a psychodynamic lens or addressing trauma with EMDR, my focus remains on empowering individuals to build resilience and achieve inner peace.

At Omni Counselling, I provide a compassionate and professional therapy service designed to support individuals in overcoming life’s challenges and achieving personal growth. My practice is rooted in Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy, with additional specialisms in psychodynamic therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
As a therapist with lived experience of migration, I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals who have relocated to a new country. Whether it’s navigating cultural adaptation, identity struggles, or feelings of disconnection, I am committed to helping clients process these experiences and find balance in their new environments.
Sessions are tailored to suit your unique needs, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or self-esteem concerns. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgement. I believe in working collaboratively, empowering you to take an active role in your own healing journey.

My first session
Your first session with me is an opportunity to explore your needs and goals in a safe and supportive environment. During this initial meeting, I will ask a few questions to understand your background, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This helps us establish a clear direction for our work together.
The first session is also a chance for you to ask any questions about the therapy process, my approach, or what to expect in future sessions. If needed, I may suggest completing a brief assessment to gain a better understanding of your current challenges.
My aim is to ensure you feel comfortable and understood, and to determine if my services are the right fit for your needs. I offer the first session at a reduced rate (if applicable), allowing us to focus on building a strong therapeutic foundation.
Whether you’re new to therapy or returning, the first session is an important step in starting your journey towards growth and healing.
