About me and my therapy practice
I am an Adlerian trained counsellor and work with many other counselling formats to increase my abilities to reach out to the varying types of issues that people bring to me.
What my clients can expect from me .
I offer a warm friendly inviting space to allow clients to feel relaxed and able to share their thoughts in a safe environment, I will work empathically and will endeavour to gently gather information in an understanding way at my clients pace .we will work together collaboratively to guide my clients to a more happier and content future
. The sessions are totally confidential
I have been working closely with the DPJ foundation which in turn works closely with mental health in the farming community .having a farm myself and working in and around farming my entire life , gives a good perspective of the challenges that farmers and anyone in the farm g industry face.
I am from a building family and combine my construction work and farming work.
I offer walk and talk therapy to anyone who may feel more comfortable sharing their concerns out amongst nature .
Practice description
My clients can be assured of my focus and commitment to them , I work at a pace that enables my client to relax and feel comfortable sharing their intimate thoughts and personal information.
I understand how difficult and challenging it can be for people to make the first steps into counselling, I believe my approach quickly dispelles any fears or nerves, and my clients are able to talk calmly and relaxed about their issues.
My knowledge and understanding of two of the countries largest industries (farming and construction)has allowed me to work alongside people from all walks of life , and to be able to fit into largely male dominated workplaces,
My walk and talk therapy assists people who would rather be in nature
My first session
Our initial conversation will be a call of introduction and a brief outline of what they can expect.
Our first meeting would then be an assessment of my client , there would be a certain amount of admin and a working contract between us regarding confidentiality, timekeeping etc, and then an overview of the clients presenting issue.
Between us we could then put together a programme of counselling which would be to the Benifit of the client .
