About me and my therapy practice
Hello,
Welcome to my page.
My name is Salma, and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I would like to take a moment to share a bit about my academic background and professional experiences. I hold a degree in Psychology and Criminology, which has provided me with a strong foundation to understand the complexities of human behaviour.
My journey in mental health began with various charitable organisations, where I dedicated myself to supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges.
Motivated by my passion for helping others, I pursued further education at The Salford University, where I completed my professional training in counselling and psychotherapy.
During my clinical training, I gained valuable experience working with the NHS in a general practice setting, supporting clients dealing with issues such as depression, grief, domestic violence, and anxiety.
Additionally, I spent three years working with a charity focused on assisting victims of human trafficking and modern slavery.
I firmly believe that each of us is on a unique journey, and at some point, we may experience feelings of emptiness, disconnection, loss, or numbness.
It is my heartfelt conviction that no one should have to face these challenges alone. My goal is to provide a compassionate space where you can explore these feelings and gain deeper insights into yourself.
My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centred approach, placing your unique experiences and emotions at the forefront of our sessions. In my practice, I am committed to creating a supportive environment where you can express yourself freely, fostering both personal growth and healing.
If you're ready to embark on this journey together, I invite you to reach out. I am here to help you navigate your path.
