About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Psychological Therapist and Coach with a Master’s degree in Psychology, specialising in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyspraxia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Dyslexia. My focus is on supporting individuals with these conditions, helping them to navigate life’s challenges and promoting emotional well-being and personal growth.
In my practice, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of my clients. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Hypnotherapy, which I use as key tools to assist clients in managing anxiety, trauma, and other emotional difficulties. My approach is always tailored to the individual, ensuring that therapy is both effective and aligned with their specific experiences and goals.
Practice description
Within therapeutic sessions, clients often remark upon my composed, compassionate, and reassuring manner, which serves to create a secure and non-judgmental atmosphere. Establishing trust is paramount in my practice, allowing individuals to feel at ease as we jointly explore the impediments that hinder their capacity to achieve emotional well-being and personal fulfilment. Through this collaborative process, I assist clients in navigating life’s complexities, with the ultimate aim of fostering a deeper sense of self-awareness and growth.
My expertise lies in employing a broad range of integrative therapeutic techniques, enabling me to address the unique needs of each individual. With an unwavering commitment to enclusivity, I engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that my approach remains respectful and attuned to a variety of personal experiences and identities. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the application of evidence-based methods, delivered in a manner that is both adaptable and client-centred, allowing for a bespoke therapeutic experience that supports each individual’s aspirations.
Clinical approaches:
- Client-Centered Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Mindfulness Therapy
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Trauma-Focused Therapy
My first session
During the initial session, clients are asked to complete the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 for psychometric assessment. These assessments provide a valuable foundation for monitoring progress throughout the therapeutic process.
By the fourth session, the client’s progress is reviewed to ensure alignment with the established treatment plan. The primary focus of the first session, however, is to foster rapport and establish a connection with the client, ensuring that the session remains a safe and welcoming environment
