About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor which means that I draw on different therapeutic approaches. This allows us to work collaboratively to determine what will work best for you. Being able to share your story and having the experience of being heard and valued can facilitate significant healing and change.
My therapeutic practice involves drawing on a number of modalities which will allow us to tailor how we work together, depending on where you are in your life. I believe foremost in compassion, kindness and non-judgement.
Therapy can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, help you to move beyond limiting beliefs and allow you to become more accepting of yourself.
Practice description
I have a particular specialism in trauma and I am trained to work somatically (using the latest neuroscience, research and techniques to help clients to understand how stress and trauma are stored in the body). This can help clients to safely acknowledge, process and heal what might have happened in the past.
I can help clients to understand and name how trauma manifests and to be able to identify when it happens. Once this awareness starts to develop, clients tend to find themselves much more in control of their reactions.
