About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist offering in-person therapy in London NW3 (Hampstead) and NW11 (Golders Green). Outside of private practice, I work as a psychotherapist in the Trauma Unit at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. I have had many years in training and experience in treating adults of all backgrounds and with a wide range of issues. I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP). Prior to my career as a psychotherapist, I worked as an employment lawyer in an international law firm in the City of London.
Practice description
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental place to talk about whatever is troubling you. We would focus on difficulties you are having in the present and their underlying causes, often from your past. Attention is paid to beliefs and feelings you might not be aware of, but which affect how you feel, behave or engage in relationships.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel daunting. The first step is to meet for an initial consultation, typically lasting for 90 minutes, where we think about what has brought you to therapy and you get a feel of what it would be like for us to work together. Further sessions last for 50 minutes and I offer short-term and open-ended therapy.
