I offer sessions weekdays between 8am and 7pm.About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Liz an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working in private practice in a picturesque village in Northampton. Being an integrative therapist gives me the ability to explore what’s going on for you through a number of different approaches. You will be welcomed into a safe environment which is completely non-judgemental and empathetic. You will be able to express yourself freely, in a way that you may have not experienced before and really feel heard. I am a warm approachable character with a good sense of humour – yes, I am human just like anyone else and may apply humour when appropriate in session. Together we will explore whatever you wish to bring in order to better understand yourself, your thoughts and feelings.
I have worked in Education within the welfare, mental health and safeguarding field for many years and believe that my background further enhances my counselling practice. I have a genuine passion for listening to people’s individual stories as we all have one to tell.
You will see that I have a real passion for the outdoors as my practice is based in a purpose-built garden room within my garden. I believe that nature can have such a positive effect on our mental wellbeing and am also able to offer walk and talk Nature Therapy.
I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have regular clinical supervision. I also have professional indemnity insurance.
A private drive and on street parking are available at the practice.

Practice description
I offer face to face sessions from my private practice in the small village of Collingtree.
Walk and Talk sessions are also available upon enquiry.
On the phone and online via Face Time, WhatsApp and Zoom.
Sessions are 50mins long.
My first session
I understand that finding the right counsellor for you is imperative. I therefore offer a one off 30 minute session free of charge to see how we might work together. You can ask me questions and get a feel of what counselling with me would be like for you. There is no obligation to return if I’m not the right fit.
Should you wish to proceed with further sessions with me we will agree together a therapeutic contract. Sessions are 50mins long and typically on a weekly/fortnightly basis, but we can discuss this more when we meet. Sessions are not limited; we will be on a journey together and it’s impossible to know where this may take us. That said we will have interim reviews on an ongoing basis and if after a couple of sessions, you feel that at this moment in time counselling is not right for you there is no obligation to continue.
