About me and my therapy practice
I support children, young people and adults struggling with anxiety, low mood, emotional or behavioural challenges. My expertise extends to working with issues such as depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. As a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner, I have specialised training and experience in assisting neurodivergent individuals across different age groups.
I know that the world of counselling can be filled with different approaches and confusing jargon. My aim is to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible for you. I utilise an integrative approach, which means that I draw from various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred therapy and Systemic therapy. What this means for you is that we will work together to find the best approach that suits your individual needs and goals. By incorporating different techniques, I can help you explore and understand your emotions, develop coping skills, and navigate life's challenges in a way that feels comfortable and effective for you.
Counselling isn't about providing quick fixes; it's a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Through personalised sessions, I will guide you in harnessing your strengths, developing coping strategies, and fostering a positive mindset that will serve you during and beyond our work together.
