About me and my therapy practice

There are many reasons why we might go to therapy; when we are experiencing challenging relationships, a life changing event or everyday concerns about behaviours and feelings. How we feel about ourselves, others and our environment can be a source of distress and anxiety and can impact on our well-being. Exploring what we find challenging can give us a better understanding of our experiences. This can be hard to do on our own or with others when we might feel judgement or expectations.

I am genuine, calm, and reliable. We can work together at your pace, exploring and reflecting on your unique experiences and the meaning you have given to them, untangling what feels complex and overwhelming. This may give you a deeper understanding of yourself that can lead to growth and change.

I am trained as a person-centred, pluralist therapist. Fundamentally, this means therapy will not be about me telling you what to do or think, but rather us building a therapeutic relationship together that meets your needs, so that you can determine your own path.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviours, trauma, loss, relationship issues, new parents, and professional development. I also have experience working with sexuality and LGBTQIA+ issues and concerns. I understand the challenges related to identity, coming out, family dynamics, discrimination, and societal pressures as well as the impact these experiences have on mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being.

My practice is based in NW3, a brief walk from Swiss Cottage tube. I work with adults, students, and groups and offer a reduced fee for students, teachers, and NHS workers.

Knowing how difficult it is to make the first step, I offer an initial no pressure call, where you can ask any questions, you might have.
