I have sessions available Mondays to Fridays; between 10am to 8pm. These can be in-person or remotely via video online.
My in-person practice is in Enfield (EN2).
Please contact me here, or at contact@jrgpsychotherapy.co.uk / 07864343018. After this I can quickly book you in for a 15/20 minute call so that we can get started.
Concession spaces are limited at present. Please feel free to contact me with any queries you may have - I believe therapy should be easy to access, not difficult, and am happy to help with any questions.
About me and my therapy practice
I work with a person-centered perspective, which means we talk about what is most important to you, offering a compassionate space that is confidential and free from judgement, where you can discuss what is troubling you. I am trained as an Integrative therapist, drawing upon a number of approaches, and we collaborate on working together in a way that is most useful to you.
With your hopes regarding therapy in mind, we work at your pace and focus on your needs. In doing so we may explore past experiences, reflect on what affects you in the present, and together work on ways of thinking and behaving that you may wish were different.
Any difficult and painful subjects that you wish to talk about will be heard, and I will help you to bear these in a compassion-focused approach, one that values trust and connection, and the uniqueness of every client. As a humanistic therapist I endeavour to be culturally aware, so that all individual diversity and experiences are seen and respected.
Practice description
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, having studied and trained through University College Dublin, Birkbeck College, and the University of Roehampton. I have a B.A. Degree in Psychology, and M.A . in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I work to the client’s preference, offering weekly, 50-minute sessions in-person and via online video-link. My in-person practice work is based in the EN2 area in Enfield.
I am a registered member of the BACP and work to the professional standards outlined in the BACP’s Ethical Framework.
My first session
In the first session you will have secure space to share your story, and we will explore your reasons for coming to therapy, what you would like to focus on and how we might like to work together moving forward. It is a chance for us to get to know each other and for me to understand your needs, your expectations, and to ensure that you and I feel we are a good fit.
We will discuss an agreement for working together. I can offer both short and long-term therapy, either fixed or open-ended, and this can be tailored to your current situation.
There is no 'right' way that a client should approach counselling. The first session will be a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the process or myself, to tell me your hopes for therapy, and for us to talk through anything that comes up for you.
