About me and my therapy practice
If you are in need of someone to talk to in a safe, supportive and confidential environment, I can offer you the space to be heard in a relationship that is warm, empathic and non judgemental .
You may be feeling stressed, anxious or depressed, going through personal issues or feel that you are never truly heard. Perhaps a sense that something is not quite right but you cannot put your finger on it. Feel free to get in touch whatever might be going on for you and we can discuss what it would feel like to work with me and the safe, confidential and compassionate space I can provide for you.
I am an MBACP integrative counsellor. This allows me to draw from a wealth of knowledge and practice from different types of therapy that I can tailor to meet your individual needs.
Specialising in Person Centred therapy, I work relationally and view this as an integral part of facilitating awareness, growth and positive change when working with my clients. You may be seeking therapy for a specific reason or looking to grow emotionally. Sometimes unresolved issues from our upbringing or past can manifest and impact and put up barriers in our relationships and interactions with others today.
I am also a fully qualified CPCAB Level 5 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT ) therapist .
I have experience working in voluntary and private practice and am passionate about working with adults of all ages. Being London born and bred, I have lived all my life and worked with people from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds including in my own household.
Practice description
I work mainly using Zoom and can also provide telephone counselling if preferred and some very limited face to face work.
Sessions are 50 minutes at the same time each week.
We can work together on a short term basis or long term basis known as open ended therapy and allows you the client to determine how long we work together and is a commitment to therapy for as long as you need it.
My first session
It is of great importance that you feel there is a good fit working together in order to get the most out of our sessions.
Once you have reached out to me, we will have an initial telephone conversation lasting around twenty minutes to talk about what brings you here, how we would work together and also gives you with an opportunity to ask any questions.
This provides you with the opportunity to reflect and if you could see us working together, we would then arrange our first session at an agreed time.
