I work online and in-person in Brighton and Hove. My availability is generally 8am - 6pm and can discuss other times if these are not possible.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified and experienced therapist offering a warm and collaborative space in which to explore what brings you to therapy.
My approach is based on discovering, communicating and processing your feelings and experiences, as well as creating opportunity for new insight.
The core of how I work is psychodynamic, working with past and present, conscious and unconscious. This is based on the fact that much suffering can be relieved by bringing unconscious elements into awareness and connecting with a meaningful narrative of experience. I also work directly with emotions and parts of the self using more structured approaches when felt appropriate and helpful.
I work from the assumption of a natural inner capacity to heal and grow which can become blocked through trauma and difficulty. We can work collaboratively towards unblocking this capacity as we work towards the change you would like to see.
I centre my approach on your empowerment and validation, as we progress at a pace that feels right to you. I also acknowledge and embrace the experience of social, physical and neurological difference in the world as well as in our relationship.
