About me and my therapy practice
Have you considered walk and talk therapy before? The benefits of movement, connecting to nature whilst being listened to and feeling understood in each moment can outweigh the cons of say, the weather! I walk at your pace and pause when needed. There are of course, back-up plans, like an office or a virtual space, if you need it.
I am a professionally trained Integrative-Relational Psychotherapeutic Counsellor using a range of psychotherapeutic theories (including somatic therapy, psychodynamic, gestalt, mindfulness, neuroscience and creative work) which allows me to value the uniqueness of each client.
Practice description

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Laura, and I am a BACP registered therapist, with working experience in the NHS and private practice. I work with adult individuals and with couples, helping them manage in healthy ways symptoms of disconnection, like anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, and relational issues within the family.
When things are troubling you and you're feeling anxious and stressed, talking with friends only goes so far. In their desire to help, they shower you with advice, try to cheer you up and distract you. But when distraction is no longer an option and you want to face what it is that is troubling you, then I am here for you.
Sometimes we need professional help to focus our attention on aspects of our physical, mental, and emotional experience.
I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to help you process and understand your challenges and offer practical tools to manage them.
Email me today and let's find a way forward to joy together!
Practice description
I am a professionally trained Integrative-Relational Psychotherapeutic Counsellor using a range of psychotherapeutic theories (including somatic therapy, psychodynamic, gestalt, mindfulness, neuroscience and creative work) which allows me to value the uniqueness of each client.
Additionally, my clients benefit from my training in Mindfulness, Compassionate Inquiry, Internal Family Systems and The Rewind Technique for trauma relief.
Good therapy needs to have a structure, and I use the RIGAAR structure of the Human Givens Institute to help my clients set goals, access resources and rehearse success in therapy together.
I also work creatively, using tools like therapy cards, buttons, wooden dolls, coloured pens and paper, to engage both hemispheres of the brain and help you make sense of what is troubling you and what solutions might be available.
I have supported a variety of clients over the years, both in the NHS and in private practice.
