I offer sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, throughout the day and in the early evening.
I work mainly at The Barnsbury Therapy Rooms in Islington (N1 1LA). I also offer some in-person sessions at The Psychosynthesis Trust at London Bridge (SE1 2TH), as well as online sessions on Zoom.
I currently do not have any sessions available.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm a fully qualified counsellor, with a warm and compassionate approach. I offer a calm and non-judgemental space where your voice will be heard.
Whatever support you may have around you, it can be helpful to talk to a professional who is not involved in your daily life.
There are many reasons for seeking support. Maybe you're experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, or overwhelm. Perhaps you’re feeling lonely, or struggling with relationships. Perhaps it feels like you have lost a sense of choice, or direction.
Whatever has brought you to counselling, I can be alongside you as you explore the aspects of your life that are most challenging for you. It may be that your current circumstances are particularly hard, or perhaps you are dealing with difficulties or traumatic experiences from your past. Together we can look at what is causing you pain, where its roots might lie, and how it is impacting your life right now.
This kind of support can allow you to grow in self-understanding, help you to understand and communicate your needs to others, and enable you to move forwards with a renewed sense of inner strength.
Practice description
Once we have agreed to work together, I usually suggest that we have six sessions. Towards the end of these sessions, we can discuss whether you would like to continue for a longer period of time, or conclude the work.
Each session will be 50 minutes long and will take place at the same time each week.
Whether you’re looking for brief or longer-term counselling, my purpose is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and support you to make the choices and changes that are meaningful to you.
I’m here to support and witness your journey rather than to offer solutions or advice. Counselling can’t make everything okay, but I believe it can help you to draw on your natural strengths and abilities to meet life’s difficulties and stresses, as well as being open to its joys and opportunities.
As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am bound by the ethical framework and complaints procedures of this professional body.
I undertake regular continuing professional development (CPD), which enables me to develop my skills.
My first session
I offer an initial free 20 minute consultation online. This is an opportunity for you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you, and we can discuss what sessions would be like going forwards. There is no obligation to meet again after this consultation.
If you would like to arrange a free consultation, please message me via the BACP directory, or email me directly at estedall@mailbolt.com. In your message, it would be helpful if you let me know the days and times when you are available to meet.
After the initial consultation, if you decide you would like to work with me, we will arrange a weekly session time that is mutually convenient.
My session fee is £50. However, I do offer some concessionary rates; please feel free to ask me about this.
My practice room at London Bridge has wheelchair access. If you have any concerns about whether the counselling space will be accessible for you, please do let me know, and we can discuss it further.
It takes courage to seek support and to reach out in this way. I really encourage you to get in touch if you are interested in the possibility of working together.
