About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I combine various therapeutic approaches to tailor each session according to the unique needs of my clients. My work is grounded in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours freely.

My approach integrates elements from several modalities, including:

• Psychodynamic and Humanistic Therapies: By drawing from these, I focus on exploring past experiences and emotions, while also encouraging growth and self-actualization.

• Internal Family Systems (IFS): I use this to help clients connect with different parts of themselves, fostering self-compassion and deeper self-understanding. It’s a gentle method that allows individuals to heal emotional wounds by getting to know the different "parts" of their personality.

• EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): This is particularly helpful for clients dealing with trauma, enabling them to process and integrate difficult memories.

• Clinical Hypnotherapy: I offer hypnotherapy to help clients access their subconscious mind, fostering positive change and deeper healing in areas such as anxiety and self-esteem.

My first session

In your first counselling session with me, I aim to create a safe, comfortable environment where you feel at ease sharing your concerns. Here’s what you can typically expect:

We will start by getting to know each other. I will explain how I work, my therapeutic approach, and what you can expect from future sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions and clarify any concerns.

The focus of the session will be on understanding your reasons for seeking therapy. We will discuss what brings you here, any specific challenges or issues you are facing, and your goals for therapy. This helps me tailor my approach to suit your needs.
