About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Davina Lytton, welcome to my counselling site. Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgmental, independent and trusting arena in which you can learn to express issues you may be struggling with.

I predominantly work from a Person-Centred perspective, but also call on other modalities such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Transactional Analysis, depending on the particular need within each session.

Although it remains somewhat stigmatised within our society, counselling is a powerful form of self-help, self-growth and empowerment that can support you during periods where you may be feeling completely overwhelmed by current and/or historic issues.

Practice description

For anyone interested in personal or professional growth, I believe my coaching and counselling services can provide you with support to find the best solutions to current or long-term issues.

I am confident that both my life and professional experiences, together with my commitment to continuous professional development, will enable me to work with you as a unique individual and provide a tailored coaching or counselling experience.

Recognising that both the time and financial implications of accessing counselling is a huge commitment, as the client, you are encouraged to regularly review and reflect on how the sessions are supporting you and your reasons for accessing therapy.

My first session

The most important aspect of counselling is the therapeutic relationship itself and choosing a counsellor can feel as random as sticking a pin in a map! If you would like to have an initial, free, no-obligation chat, to see if you would feel comfortable working with me, then just click on the relevant link within my website to book an initial 30 minute appointment.

Within this session, I will go through some general overview questions with you, in order to gain an initial insight into your reasons for coming to counselling and what you hope to gain from the therapy.
