About me and my therapy practice
We are all unique. We all have our own life story. As an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I create a personalised and holistic approach by tailoring the therapy to your needs. I draw on a number of different theories and approaches that would work best in supporting our work together.
I offer short and long-term therapy to adult individuals. I work with a diverse range of people dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression and low mood, stress and burnout, trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss, and low self-worth.
As a mixed-race therapist who has lived in several countries, I have a particular interest in identity, belonging, feeling 'different' and misunderstood, disconnection, cultural differences and migration issues.
Practice description
I offer a confidential, warm and calm space to talk about what is troubling you, without judgement, so that you feel heard and valued.
I see the therapeutic process as being a collaborative relationship in which we are equal partners. Together, we explore and reflect on your thoughts, feelings and behaviours as you process your experience. With new awareness and understanding come new perspectives and options, leading to healing, change and growth.
I am a fully registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I hold a master's in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent's University London, a leading training institution in the fields of Psychotherapy and Psychology.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation on Zoom so you can get a sense of how I work, what it feels like working with me, and whether I am the right therapist for you.
It is a chance for you to ask me whatever you might need to know about me and about working together. This will also give me a better understanding of your needs and how I can help.
