Availability

I have availability for new clients on Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings with flexible time slots to suit your schedule.

I’ve heard that my email replies have a sneaky habit of jumping in spam folders. If you choose to connect via email, keep an eye on your junk mail - my response might be hiding there.

About me and my therapy practice

Counselling can be a valuable resource for everyone, though reaching out for support can sometimes feel challenging. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can express yourself at your own pace.

With a collaborative, client-centered approach, I’m here to listen as we explore your thoughts and feelings. Together, we’ll work towards a deeper understanding of yourself, while exploring new perspectives along the way. My role isn’t to give advice, but to support you in connecting with your own inner resources and discovering your path forward.

I believe in the power of counselling, having benefited from my own therapy. I also feel strongly about the importance of ethical practice and work towards the values outlined in the BACP ethical framework. Core to my way of working is client autonomy, ensuring that clients are able to make their own decisions in a supportive environment. While I value client agency, I also believe that counselling is not passive. I will actively engage in the process, offering empathy, insights and a different perspective when needed, always in a way that respects your individual needs and process.

Practice description

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Gloucestershire College.

I have been working as a counsellor for five years, spending the majority of my practice at a counselling charity, during my time there, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, each seeking counselling for unique and varied reasons.

In addition to my counselling practice, I am also a Lecturer in Counselling delivering CPCAB counselling courses.

My first session

After we first connect, I’ll arrange a call to discuss availability and get a sense of what you’re hoping to achieve through counselling.

The first session is an opportunity for both of us to assess whether we’re a good fit. It’s a chance to see how I work and whether you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. Whatever you bring to the session is welcome. You may have nerves, questions, or concerns about “explaining everything again” to a stranger. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed about where to begin—or perhaps you're excited about taking this step for yourself. Whatever your experience, we’ll take it one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you.
