About me and my therapy practice
Everyone's counselling journey is different, I believe in working collaboratively in a way that supports a person's unique ability to access their own resources and potential.
Practice description
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work integratively, drawing on both psychodynamic and person-centred approaches to best meet your needs. A key aspect of my practice is the relationship we build together, as the therapeutic dynamic we develop will play a central role in our work.
Alongside private practice, I also work within Listening Post Counselling Agency as an experienced qualified counsellor. I am also currently a Lecturer in Counselling at Gloucestershire College.
My first session
After we first connect, whether by phone or email, I’ll arrange a call to discuss availability and get a sense of what you’re hoping to achieve through counselling.
The first session is a chance to see how I work and whether you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. Whatever you bring is welcome—whether it’s nerves, questions, concerns about 'explaining everything again' to a stranger, or feelings of overwhelm about where to begin. It might even be excitement about taking this step for yourself—or all of the above!
In the wise words of Nirvana, "come as you are."
