About me and my therapy practice
Hello,
you may be dealing with a lot at the moment and looking to find a therapist to help you work through some of it. Perhaps you feel ready to make some changes in your life but are not sure where to begin.
I am an empathic person who feels passionate about healing and growth. I can offer you a safe, confidential and nurturing space where you will be able to explore experiences and feelings and gain more understanding of them and of yourself.
Counselling can be a transformative process that leads to less depression and anxiety. Counselling could help you take action and be the main character in your life story with increased self-acceptance and confidence.
I believe we all have a tendency towards wholeness and I can offer you the opportunity for it by building a trusting, real and safe therapeutic relationship with you. I will level with you, counselling can be hard work and painful but if you are willing to engage with this process, it will help you change for the better.
Practice description
I have experience working with vulnerable adults from different backgrounds, cultures and sexual orientations. It is important to me that you feel accepted for who you are without judgement and prejudice. I have experience working with a range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship and family issues. I have found inner-child therapy to be a powerful resource for clients dealing with attachment and trauma difficulties.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer integrated Person-Centred counselling. I am also an MBACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered member which means I adhere to their Codes of Ethics ensuring safe and professional practice.
My first session
I offer a no-obligation free 20-minute session either online, by phone or in person where we can meet and discuss how to work collaboratively. You can then decide whether my approach is a good fit for you.
In the first session, I will get a sense of whether we are a good 'fit' to work together and an opportunity for you to ask any questions.
