Practice description
Life can get on top of us sometimes, and before we know it, we are trying to keep our heads above water, not knowing when or if we will ever reach the shore. If this sounds familiar, I am here to offer a helping hand and show you that you are not on your own. I have first-hand experience of the challenges life can throw at us, and this led me to train as a trauma-informed Psychotherapist, to support people.
Sometimes you might feel lost, like you do not belong, or that something is missing but you aren’t sure what, together we can uncover your ‘why’. Therapy can help you by expanding your self-awareness, understanding how your past could be impacting your present and uncover roadblocks that are keeping you stuck. Do you ever feel like there is more to life than this, but something is holding you back? Therapy can help you to figure out the blockages and help you move forward in new and healthier ways so that you can live your life the way you want to live it.
I often work creatively and use images and use visuals in sessions to help you to make sense of what is going on for you. I also use analogies and metaphors regularly in therapy as they can really help to open up our thinking patterns and processes, helping you to look at things in different ways.
I have experience in working with childhood trauma and domestic abuse and therefore have great awareness of the impact traumatic experiences can have on us.
