About me and my therapy practice
Hello
You have seen my name and photo … but will you soon forget me? Or will we talk?
What might you bring to counselling? It could be depression, anxiety or stress.
You might be having difficulty with fear, shame, anger, confusion or other uncomfortable emotions. Or maybe relationship difficulties, trouble coping with life, or a wish to change your behaviour. It could be the depths of despair – or just things are not quite right.
How does it work? Well, these are some important things. You are provided with a safe, confidential setting, where you have the chance to talk freely.
You are going to be with a patient listener, who concentrates on understanding your world, so talking is easier than you might expect. There are no judgemental remarks or unwanted bits of advice.
All this helps to build a valuable trusting relationship, so we can work together on your plans for change.
You are with a qualified counsellor, committed to professionalism and high ethical standards, who will adapt the approach to suit your needs.
This is the important bit. I would really like you to contact me. A gentle chat about how this might work for you is free of charge. It will be interesting to listen to what you say, and I will enjoy answering any questions you have.
If our conversation feels right and you are keen to get started, a first appointment can usually be arranged very soon.
How will you know I am right for you? You will just know. If you don’t get that feeling, then do pick up the phone to the next counsellor. Because one thing is almost certain – there is a good counsellor out there who is the right one. And things can feel better soon.

Practice description
In my sessions I apply an integrative approach in Counselling and Psychotherapy which means that I will use different skills to ensure I am meeting your needs.
As a counsellor, I work with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, frustration, parenthood, childhood, loss, the need to manage harmful emotions and behaviours, or difficulties with coping with traumatic experience and events, relationship difficulties that are affecting their ability to manage life.
Talking therapy will offer you the safe space to be listened to, understood, heard and it will help you find ways to deal with emotions and feelings such as guilt, anger, pride, anxiety, fear, shame, confusion and grief. I am committed to offer you the support needed in developing achievable plans for the future, and creating coping strategies in order to bring about effective change and/or enhance your wellbeing.
I am committed to listen without judgment, be empathetic, encourage and support to empower you by setting clear boundaries and be professional by respecting the right to be shown respect, dignity and consideration.
Carl Jung ( psychiatrist and psychoanalyst ) once said:
“The principle aim of therapy is not to transport one to an impossible state of happiness but to help (the client) acquire steadfastness and patience in the face of suffering .“
My first session
I can understand it hasn't been easy for you lately or for some time now, and I am glad that you want to give therapy a chance in exploring the emotions and feelings that you are struggling with.
It must be hard trying to find and to choose the right one for you, and for that reason I am offering a free 30 minutes phone call or video call, session, in order for you to see if I am a good match for what you are looking for.
In this session we will discuss anything else that may be relevant to a potential future collaboration.
The first session can be different from client to client.
I can't promise that everything will be amazing and you will be happy all the time, after having therapy, but I can promise that:
I will be non judgemental and empathetic
I will be working within my competence and with professionalism
I will offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore any feelings and/or emotions
I will be the person that you can build a trustworthy connection with
I will work with you to develop goals and plans,
I will support you to progress and create change
I will explain how I work and reasons to use my interventions
I will be open minded and treat everyone with dignity and respect
