About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my counselling practice.
I understand that life can be challenging, and we can often feel overwhelmed. I am here to offer you a safe and supportive space where we can work together to address any concerns you may be facing. My approach is rooted in developing a warm and trusting rapport with my clients, as I believe that a positive therapeutic relationship is essential for healing and growth.
I have many years of experience helping individuals from diverse backgrounds navigate through life's ups and downs. My 26 years in further/higher education have given me a wide-ranging appreciation of the stresses experienced by professionals working in the sector, and of the specific anxieties suffered by young people today. I work particularly with clients who struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, depression, and the impact of traumatic events. I have personal experience of facing fear and uncertainty around serious illness and coping with sudden change. I am passionate about recognising and embracing diversity and, over time, have gained extensive knowledge and skills in supporting women wishing to explore relationship issues. Together, we will work compassionately to overcome difficult emotions and experiences, allowing you to move forward purposefully.
I know that seeking help can be daunting, but rest assured that if you are feeling adrift, I will work with you at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My ultimate goal is to help you to achieve a healthier view of yourself, empower you to make positive changes in your life and move towards a more fulfilling and meaningful future.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you.
