Availability
I work with individuals and couples in person in South West London. I also offer online sessions (£60 per hour) across the UK and Europe.
I practise from 9.00am to 8.00pm depending on availability and this is something we can plan together in our first meeting to make a mutually suitable arrangement.
About me and my therapy practice
My work is dedicated to supporting individuals and couples in navigating key life transitions such as illness, loss, birth of a new baby, infertility, adoption, difficult relationships, divorce, job challenges, retirement or empty nest syndrome.
I place great emphasis on us co-creating a warm and trusting relationship using understanding and empathy, so together we can explore how your past life is affecting you and your current relationships, and how I can best work with you.
Who is there to support you when you are dealing with difficult personal circumstances, challenging relationships or complicated family dynamics?
Everyday events can bring exhaustion, despair or anxiety, as well as a lack of confidence and disorientation in how to be in the world.
You may be feeling depressed or lacking in energy to do anything very much. Or you may have pressing needs like parenting issues with babies through to teenagers. You may be in a difficult relationship or be experiencing a lack of intimacy. You may be facing infertility or navigating the menopause. You may be single or going through a divorce. You may be coming to terms with an illness, or in the process of dealing with treatment and recovery. You may be facing career choices or challenges.
These are just some of issues we can all face at different times in life and each of us has a unique story and history. I believe that we all want to create and maintain fulfilling and loving relationships for ourselves, and I will work alongside you to help you navigate your path, highlighting any patterns that may be blocking your way.
You may have started your journey and need some encouragement, or you may be struggling with how to cope.
Seeking therapy can often be the first step towards healing and has the potential to offer you new insights and resources, that may have eluded you from the pressure and stress of everyday living.
Practice description
I am a Psychosynthesis Counsellor, and can work with imagination, stories or drawing to help you re-connect with your intuition and creativity which can help you to focus on gently awakening new insights and perspectives.
I am equally happy to give priority to talking and listening with empathy to help you make sense of and process feelings and thoughts around your life experiences.
My first session
The first session will involve me asking more questions than usual to explore your reasons for wanting therapy, as well as to find out more about you and take some history.
It is also a chance for you to ask me questions and for us to decide whether we want to work together. You may want time to think about this after the session. If you feel comfortable, we can email or talk by phone to set up a suitable timeframe for our sessions together.
