About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Clara, and I am a fully trained and experienced counsellor with a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. My approach as a therapist is to be by your side as you explore and face the challenges of your life. As Thich Nhat Hahn once said, 'understanding is love's other name' and understanding sits at the heart of my practice. People I have worked with describe me as warm, caring, safe and supportive, creating a non-judgemental, holding space for our work together. When I work with you, alongside an ability to listen, I bring energy, gentle challenge, creativity, a ready smile, and a warm heart. Whilst this is your space, my varied life experience is likely to inform and nourish the work we do together. I enjoy encouraging others to lead their fullest life no matter the circumstances they find themselves in.
Practice description
Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are most often weekly, at the same time each week. I offer both short term and longer term sessions. I am happy for us to arrange a short telephone conversation so that you can decide whether you would like to go ahead and book an initial session with me. I will also let you know if I think that another therapist may be a better fit for you at this time.
My practice is currently online, however, I may be able to offer shorter term face to face sessions, please do ask if this is something you would like.
I am also a trained Pesso Boyden Systems Psychomotor (PBSP) practitioner. Pesso Boyden Therapy can be offered one to one, in person or online, or you can arrange with me to attend a group session. Sessions can be stand alone or as a part of ongoing personal development work. Please contact me if you would like to know more.
