About me and my therapy practice

Hello!

I'm Olivia, I'm a qualified Psychotherapist, founder of Tender Hearts Therapy, and primarily, I'm here for you. I offer a gentle approach to online therapy for anxiety, depression, and life transitions, to name a few, all from the comfort of your own environment.

I will listen to you with an open heart, hold you and your story with tenderness, and guide you through this time in your life, no matter how big or small your story may feel.

Together, we will co-create a space to explore and delve deep into the sacred and fragile things you are holding close to your chest right now...and most importantly, you will no longer have to hold them on your own.

My approach encompasses Humanistic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Existentialism, Focusing, Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed practices, and Psychoeducation

Where You Are Right Now

Are you feeling lost, alone, and in need of some support?

We will all struggle in our lives at some point - it's part of the human experience, and many of us are facing challenges in our lives that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, hopeless, or uncertain about our future.

Does This Feel Familiar?

Maybe you're stood at a 'crossroads' in your life or maybe you feel like the floor has disappeared from underneath you and you've been freefalling for a while.

You may experience a clenching sensation in your chest or stomach that you label as anxiety or depression. There may be a fear of losing control, and a persistent sense of being on high alert to danger or rejection, leaving you feeling emotionally drained.

Maybe a mental fog is preventing you from staying on task or fully engaging in your life, making it challenging to stay present with the people you love and care for. Maybe you are consumed with self-loathing in terms of your body image or self-worth.

Practice description

I'm Here For You

These sensations can rob us of the feeling that we are in control of our lives, of our trust and ease throughout day-to-day life, and our peace of mind.

Therapy is an empowering first step towards taking care of yourself, your mental health, and your world around you.

My Approach

I help my clients navigate their unique mental health challenges and support them in achieving a sense of wholeness and well-being, whatever that may look and feel like for them. My goal is to guide clients towards feeling more content and grounded in their daily lives, rather than merely going through the motions without truly being present.

Using a variety of evidence-based techniques and tools, I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. My therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution.

I take the time to get to know you, allowing you to settle into a rhythm that feels right. Together, we create a supportive space for you to explore, all from the comfort of your own environment, one step at a time.

My Expertise

I delve into the complexities of the human experience, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, self-worth, loneliness, purposelessness, and relationship challenges. I specialise in supporting highly sensitive individuals, navigating menstrual cycle dynamics, PMS, menopause, and major life transitions like grief and heartbreak.

I hold a BA (Hons) and MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy, with a specialisation in Humanistic/Integrative Therapies.

My first session

As your therapist, I am committed to creating a collaborative relationship together in therapy. Essentially, I am here to get to know you... not a diagnosis, a label, or who you feel you should be.

I will work with you to identify the parts of yourself that are important to you as we chart a path toward a more hopeful future, providing a space for all parts of yourself, even the ones you don't like that much (yet!).

I hope that through therapy you feel capable and confident to implement the changes that will lead to the kind of life you have been yearning for, developing the skills and tools to stay with you for a lifetime.

And let's be real, finding a fulfilling and stress-free balance in life can be a real challenge today in our modern world, and that's why I offer online therapy - it's convenient, more affordable, and flexible, allowing you to access the support you need from the comfort of your own private space.

In online therapy, we will work together to help you embrace your whole self and navigate life's ups and downs with more ease and joy. Working with, rather than against, the inevitable ebbs and flows of life.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation call. The consultation is more of an informal chat between us and is a time for you to tell me where you are right now and what has brought you to therapy.

This may be the first time for you to offload some of the heaviness you have been carrying.

You will be able to get a feel for working with me online and decide if Tender Hearts Therapy feels right for you.

What I can help with

And let's be real, finding a fulfilling and stress-free balance in life can be a real challenge today in our modern world, and that's why I offer online therapy - it's convenient, more affordable, and flexible, allowing you to access the support you need from the comfort of your own private space.

In online therapy, we will work together to help you embrace your whole self and navigate life's ups and downs with more ease and joy. Working with, rather than against, the inevitable ebbs and flows of life.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation call. The consultation is more of an informal chat between us, and is a time for you to tell me where you are right now and what has brought you to therapy.

This may be the first time for you to offload some of the heaviness you have been carrying.

You will be able to get a feel for working with me online and decide if Tender Hearts Therapy feels right for you.

If you decide to proceed, we will begin your therapy journey. We will meet weekly/fortnightly for online sessions via Google Meet in a confidential space, providing emotional safety and stability.
