I'm English by nationality and spent 15-years living in Hong Kong and working all around the Asia-Pacific region with people of many different nationalities and cultures. As such, if you are navigating cross-cultural communication difficulties, adapting to life and work as an Expatriate or Expatriate spouse and struggle with belonging and identify issues then I'm here to support you.

If you are experiencing bereavement, grief, health related anxiety, low self-esteem or loneliness then I'll draw on my specialist personal expertise and knowledge in these areas to walk alongside you.

Yet, new ways of thinking and being open-up through showing up and being present in the therapeutic relationship.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I offer you a warm welcome to hold a conversation with me free of charge, because I understand that you are reaching out for support. Whether or not you decide to work with me or another therapist/coach, you are making a commitment to invest in and respect yourself.

During our sessions, we will explore how you are engaging with your life and work. Experiential learning, the process of learning by doing, will help bring you real and tangible change.

Gestalt is a relational-based approach and it is through the trust-based relationship that we develop as therapist/client that you get to explore patterns in your own relationships with yourself and others and to learn and experience new ways of being. In Gestalt, we view the relationship with self as a constant, evolutionary process. In making a commitment to show up to work with me as your therapist, your true commitment is to yourself. "Loving someone is the willingness to educate them as to who we are", Stanley Keleman

With 25+ years’ experience in the corporate world, 17-years of which have been spent living in Hong Kong and working around the Asia-Pacific region, I’m well placed to support you with all career and work-related issues. My experience in working with senior leaders combines with expertise in working at more emotional depth than may be typical of Executive Coaches.

Also, as the Author of ‘Where Would You Like Your Dishwasher? – my story of life, love, and loss’, I offer specialist expertise in working with grief and loss. As an Expatriate Spouse, I supported my own, now late husband, Michael with his eight-year battle with a rare form of heart cancer.

It is a fact that we are all “Living our Dying” from the moment we are born until the time that we die. The journey in-between is a formative learning process and one that I invite you to share with me if you chose to do so.

“To know our self is important, to be able to influence how we experience ourselves is everything”

Terry Cooper
