About me and my therapy practice
Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
Dip HIC, MBACP
Compassionate and creative psychotherapeutic counselling with a warm and relatable BACP registered qualified therapist.
I offer humanistic, psychodynamic based integrative therapy informed by a relational approach. What is this like in practice? Essentially, supported by a safe environment without external pressure or judgment, we can explore anything you need to (you might not know what - that is welcome too).
My job is partly to alleviate suffering, that often appears when our current ability to cope with experience is exceeded by the severity of our situation. Led by your experiences and feelings and with the support of therapeutic knowledge, we will look to expand your understanding and diffuse the impact of what might be hindering you.
By understanding our own experiences, how we really feel and how we might be behaving in greater depth, we can reconfigure ourselves to find more helpful ways of being —ways that are more satisfying, enhance well being or allow us to live in a way that feels more authentic to ourselves.
Training
I have extensive supplementary training and experience of working with a wide range of ages, cultures, and gender, and issues including but not limited to - depression, anxiety, narcissistic abuse, anger/rage, loss, relationships, self-esteem, sexual assault, domestic violence, work stress, disability, chronic pain, neurodiversity, sexuality, childhood abuse, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma, work-related difficulties, and PTSD.
I trained at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, a diploma accredited by both BACP & UKCP qualifying in humanistic and integrative counselling (DipHIC, distinction, BCPC).
Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling
Member of the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC).
MA Royal College of Art printmaking (1 year)

I have extensive experience and training working with carers (long and short term) and with narcissistic and domestic abuse.
*A carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is often unpaid.
