About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, Certified Complex Trauma Professional, Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and qualified Psychology Lecturer. I help people who are looking to overcome a range of distressing emotions and difficult life experiences such as anxiety, sexual issues, stress, depression, feelings of low self-worth, trauma and relationship issues.
I am friendly, open and non-judgemental; my clients value the confidential and trusting relationship we build together and feel how much I respect and care for them, often noticing short-term relief within their first few sessions. I work from a person-centred core, bringing in elements from a range of psychological theories and therapeutic approaches where helpful to your personal needs and goals. Working at your individual pace, I use my training to help us make sense of your current situation, heal trauma and attachment wounds and move towards a life where you feel safe and confident to thrive.
I have a first-class Masters degree in Clinical Integrative Psychotherapy, a first-class degree in Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a member of The British Psychological Society (BPS) and a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
To help you decide if I am the right fit for you, I offer a free no obligation 20-minute consultation where we can have a relaxed conversation about what you would like to gain from therapy and how I can help you achieve the changes you are looking for. I look forward to hearing from you.
Practice description
My vision is to provide you with a professional, evidence-based, modern and relaxed therapeutic experience that helps you to feel relief as soon as possible. Once you feel safe to express and explore deep, and sometimes difficult, emotions we can begin to identify and process what is at the root of your current distress with a view of achieving long-lasting change.
As an integrative psychotherapist I understand that no one therapeutic approach is the answer to all problems, as such, I will tailor my approach to best suit your individual needs. I can help you to heal from your suffering, break free from painful patterns and move towards a life of deeper self-understanding that enables you to prevent your current distress from returning.
Some other areas I have experience working with include relationship difficulties such as parental conflict, communication issues, separation, betrayal, sexual issues and domestic violence, abuse, living with addiction, menopause, burnout and general life difficulties.
My first session
I understand that not everyone knows what they want from therapy or if they’re ready to start that process. To help you decide, I offer a free 20-minute consultation via Zoom, where we can have a relaxed conversation and you can decide if I am a good match for you. You can book your consultation on the booking form here, on my website www.lisasproson.com, by emailing me at therapy@lisasproson.com or by texting me on 07973287405.
