About me and my therapy practice
It can feel daunting taking the first step to come to counselling but I hope to provide a safe and non judgemental environment where you can feel supported to experience healing and change in your own life. I aim to work collaboratively at your own pace to explore the challenges you are facing. Together we can talk about your life experiences and their impact, reflect on the past and how it has shaped you and explore why you might feel stuck and how you can move to feeling less stagnant.
Some of my client work includes managing anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, relationship problems, anger, child and pregnancy loss and living with past trauma. I have also supported clients with cross- cultural issues and managing addictions.
I am an integrative counsellor which means I offer a number of therapeutic approaches depending on each client's particular needs. Every client is unique and so I tailor my work to effectively address each client's individual concerns.
Alongside my private practice, I work in a number of different settings including a women's prison providing counselling and support to women suffering pregnancy and child loss.
Practice description
I work face to face and online.
My first session
The first session is an assessment session where I will ask you some questions about yourself, what has brought you to counselling and what you might like to get out of the counselling process. It also gives you an opportunity to see if we are a good fit and if we could work together.
The first session is charged at my usual rate.
