Availability

I currently have availability to take on new clients. I work flexibly from my online private practice most weekdays.

About me and my therapy practice

I support clients online and can help you to feel less anxious, stressed, understand loss, and have more self acceptance and confidence. I have an expertise in attachment, genetic diagnoses, and loss & bereavement.

I create a safe, understanding space for you to explore your issues. I am able to understand your early childhood experiences, past, and current relationships; also how these impact your difficulties today. I have a special interest in genetics and am experienced in providing counselling to adults with rare genetic diagnoses and to parents of a child with complex medical needs. I have extensive experience of working with Huntington's Disease families through Enroll-HD and Legato-HD. I am also experienced in supporting clients during or after pregnancy, including miscarriage, and loss.

It is hard to take the first step and let someone in. I am privileged to provide a safe and supportive space to my clients experiencing difficulties. I work safely and ethically within the BACP ethical framework and aim to work with you with humility and care. My past experience as a genetic counsellor in the NHS is an asset in my role as a therapist.

Practice description

I offer an online counselling practice and work flexibly with you. In addition to my humanistic and attachment theory core, I utilise skills from other approaches like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Mindfulness. I am experienced in working with anxiety, depression, life changes, bereavement and loss, pre and post natal, genetics, and complex medical needs.

My first session

Before the first session, I offer an initial consultation, which is also 50 minutes. This is to understand what your hopes are of counselling and to decide how we can best work together.
