Sessions are available at The Happy Body Project Wellness Centre, which is located off the A6 between Wilstead and Haynes. There is ample free parking and the premises are wheelchair friendly and easily accessible.
I also offer sessions online. Some of my clients have a preference for a mixture of face-to-face and online sessions, as dependent on their changing needs.

About me and my therapy practice
Most clients feel nervous or unsure upon starting counselling. I would therefore like to reassure you that I will receive you and what you would like to talk about with understanding, sensitivity and without judgement.
Our sessions will provide a safe and confidential space. They will be centred around that which you wish to explore and in this I will seek to understand your unique experience of your thoughts, feelings and difficulties.
Your engagement with counselling can support you to arrive at new insights and perspectives about yourself and your situation; it can help you identify how you can move forward or let go off that which may be entangled in the roots of your experiences, beliefs and issues.
Counselling is not about giving advice or telling you what to do; it is about helping you to find your own solutions and empowering you to move forward in making the changes you desire.
Practice description
Your counselling sessions will be tailored to your needs. We will think about what would be best for you: short or long term counselling, face-to-face or online sessions, weekly or fortnightly support.
My approach to counselling is rooted in the belief that each person is unique; I therefore draw from different therapeutic modalities to align with my clients and place them at the centre of my work.
In practice this means that I offer psychotherapeutic talking therapy and enhance my approach with creative and CBT-based strategies, such as; working with nesting dolls, images, therapeutic writing etc.
Through previous professional roles I developed extensive experience in the field of neurodiversity. I can tailor my counselling sessions to incorporate different processing styles and provide therapeutic support for parents and carers.
Studies and research in the field of environmental sensitivity (Michael Pluess) and/or heightened sensitivity (Elaine Aron) are one of my passionate interests. Sensitivity is a personality trait (just like introversion and extraversion) affecting about 20% of the population and related awareness and understanding can prove to be an influential discovery towards increased well-being, self-care and acceptance of self.
My first session
Upon initial contact I will offer you a free telephone consultation; this provides an opportunity to discuss your needs and how we can work together.
In our initial conversation I will determine if I have the relevant skills and experience to help you. Whilst we talk you can in turn decide if I am the right counsellor for you and ask any questions you might have.
Once your sessions have started, we will review our work and process at regular intervals. Together we can decide when it is time for your support to come to an end.
