Availability

Face to face sessions are available at The Happy Body Project Wellness Centre, which is located off the A6 between Wilstead and Haynes. The premises have ample free parking and are fully accessible to any clients with mobility needs. A welcoming reception area with complimentary drinks is waiting for you upon arrival and available to any parents/carers supporting teenagers to access their sessions.

I happily facilitate online sessions, providing that clients have access to a private space for the duration of their session. Some clients prefer a mixture of face-to-face and online work; I appreciate availability can be subject to changing needs and commitments.

I currently have availability on Wednesday and Friday for day time sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

Counselling can be of benefit to anyone; don't worry about your issue being too big, too complicated, too embarrassing or not bad enough... There are no pre-requisites…my main concern is that you find a safe space to share and work through the issues and suffering you are affected by.

I provide one-to-one sessions for adults and teenagers (where possible and safe, I can provide sessions in school).

I am neurodiversity affirming and have extensive experience (20 years) working with neurodiverse individuals, teenagers with SEND and their family members. I have a passionate interest in working with individuals who identify with the HSP personality trait and am also an accredited practitioner with the Foundation For Infant Loss.

Practice description

My approach to counselling is rooted in the belief that each person is unique; as an integrative psychotherapist I am trained in and can draw from a range of therapeutic approaches as suited to your needs.

In practice this means that I offer psychotherapeutic talking therapy and enhance my approach with principles rooted in the Internal Family Systems approach and creative strategies, such as; working with nesting dolls, images, therapeutic writing etc.

Through previous professional roles I developed extensive experience in the field of neurodiversity and SEND. I can tailor my counselling sessions to incorporate different processing styles and provide therapeutic support for parents, carers and siblings.

My first session

Upon initial contact I will offer you a free telephone consultation; this provides an opportunity to discuss your needs and how we can work together.

In our initial conversation I will determine if I have the relevant skills and experience to help you. Whilst we talk you can in turn decide if I am the right counsellor for you and ask any questions you might have.

Once your sessions have started, we will review our work and process at regular intervals. Together we can decide when it is time for your support to come to an end.
