About me and my therapy practice
I have more than eight years of experience working with clients who have experienced a wide variety of mental health concerns. I have been educated, lived and worked in Hong Kong, USA, Singapore, India and the UK. Having been exposed to multiple cultures, I have a strong understanding and awareness of equality and diversity issues and am used to working with people from multicultural backgrounds.
I started as a therapist in London, gaining experience in alcohol and drug addiction and intercultural therapy. This allowed me to work with clients from various nationalities, faiths, sexual orientations and mental health concerns. While in Singapore I deepened the experience by seeing individuals, couples, dyads and families for therapeutic interventions. I complimented my experience by volunteering and attending to the needs of young adults and social workers within NGOs in Singapore. Here, I also gained valuable experience in working with the LGBTQ+ community. Primarily because it was a community that experienced a lack of safety/security, and discrimination and found it hard to find a safe space in the therapy room. I met and worked extensively with couples from multicultural backgrounds and faiths.
Practice description
I am an Existential Psychotherapist with nearly a decade of experience in working with individuals, couples, parents and children, adolescents, and families. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore the reasons that brought you to therapy. By methodically listening, questioning and asking you to narrate your life story and experiences, I enable a firm therapeutic alliance can be built.
This therapist-client relationship will facilitate self-exploration and reflection; the predominant processes via which we are able to transform and make changes we would like to. As we move through this narration, we will uncover truths with an open mind and an attitude of wonder and curiosity, casting aside pre-existing diagnoses or labels to form a new perspective of ourselves.
As a therapist, I aim to create a space in which you can further your efforts of finding meaning in the face of challenges. You would work cautiously to enable: a larger awareness, reflection and control over your thoughts and actions, to confront internal challenges, as well as learn the impacts of external influences and how to manoeuvre through them. In working existentially, I emphasize to my clients that I don't work with an agenda or pre-existing diagnoses, albeit maybe the One: You learn to make more wilful decisions about how to live, drawing on creativity, agency and love, instead of letting external forces or events determine your behaviour and relational patterns.
I have worked extensively with and feel my passion is working with grief and loss as it precipitates every aspect of our lives. Most recently, the pandemic has been a global experience in which humanity suffered exponential loss and many of us grieved over many issues such as isolation, loneliness, limitations/restrictions in living, physical space, and death, these are just some concerns amongst many others.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an Existential Psychotherapist with more than eight years of experience in working with individuals, couples, parent and child dyads, children between 12 and 16 and families. I believe humans have an inherent ability to transform and that a firm therapeutic alliance and mutual trust are crucial elements for self-exploration and reflection in therapy. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore whatever you need to in therapy. By methodically listening, questioning and asking you to narrate your life story and experiences, she enables an environment where a firm therapeutic alliance can be built.
Having been exposed to multiple cultures globally, I have a strong understanding and awareness of equality and diversity issues and am used to working with people from varied backgrounds.
I have been a therapist for seven years. I started in London, UK where I gained experience in alcohol and drug addiction, as well as inter-cultural therapy. This allowed me to work with clients from various nationalities, faith, sexual orientations and mental health concerns. I have also worked in Singapore where I deepened my experience in private practice by working with individuals, couples, dyads (parent and child) and families for therapeutic interventions. I also complimented my experience by volunteering and attending to the needs of the young adults and social workers within NGO’s/charities in Singapore.
