About me and my therapy practice
My passion is to see my clients live free from past hurts, pains, and trauma and experience a life full of purpose, passion, and destiny - one of Freedom.
I have experience helping my clients with anxiety, stress, anger, depression, sexual difficulties such as pornography and other addictive behaviour, unhealthy habits, suicidal thoughts, self-esteem challenges, relational difficulties, career difficulties, grief, trauma, and abuse.
I work mainly with an integrative approach, where I may explore my clients' past to understand their current presenting concerns, as childhood experiences often affect current behaviours or presenting problems. I also work with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as I believe there is a direct link between our behaviour and the way we think. I try to integrate the two approaches to provide a helpful balance to help my clients both work through their presenting problems and equip them with tools to help manage future stressors.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling from Middlesex University, London, and I am currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I hold a Diploma in Life Coaching from the Life Coaching Institute.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and the Association of Coaches (AC).
Regular supervision sessions are part of my BACP Code of Conduct requirements.
I offer face-to-face, online, telephone, and email counselling.
Practice description
The way I practice as a therapist
As an Integrative Therapist, I work closely with your past, bringing what may be unconscious to you, and making it more understandable. A process of "joining the dots" to where you are today. I include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in practice to help manage behaviour by helping my clients challenge and modify irrational beliefs and distorted thinking.
In my practice, I have been privileged to walk alongside many individuals on their therapeutic journeys. Their courage, resilience, and trust have been both humbling and inspiring. As I continue this journey as a psychotherapist, I remain steadfast in my belief that healing becomes possible within the realm of understanding and genuine connection. My clients are my greatest mentors in my practice.
My first session
If you decide to proceed after your free 15-minute introductory session, we will work through your intake document in our first session together.
Your intake document will include some information on your background and your family.
The document will also outline why you are seeking counselling and your goals for counselling, namely, where you hope to be at the end of our counselling journey together.
I look forward to meeting with you.
