About me and my therapy practice
As a dedicated person-centred integrative counsellor, my foremost priority is to establish a strong, trusting working relationship with my clients. I believe that the client is the expert in their own life, and my role is to listen carefully, creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
There are many reasons why clients access counselling such as bereavement, depression or anxiety however every case is unique. I offer a client-led approach, meaning our sessions will always focus on your individual needs and goals. Whether you prefer psychodynamic strategies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), or a combination of techniques, I will tailor our work together so as to best support your personal journey. My aim is to empower you to find your own solutions and path forward.
To ensure that we’re the right fit, I offer a free initial consultation, either online or by telephone. During this session, we’ll discuss your needs and expectations, and from there, we’ll develop a person-centred contract that will guide our work together. You will have the flexibility to choose between face-to-face, online, or telephone sessions, depending on what suits you best.

Practice description
In my counselling practice, I prioritize getting to know each client as the unique individual they are. I work with you as you present, taking the time to understand your personal experiences, perspectives, and challenges. With extensive experience working with young people and adults, including those with various forms of neurodiversity such as autism, attention deficit conditions, and borderline personality disorder, I am equipped to support a wide range of needs.
I incorporate a variety of techniques, including visual aids and practical activities, to help you express how you see the world. Central to my approach are the core conditions of person-centred counselling: I listen with empathy, offer unconditional positive regard, and move at your pace as you share your personal story. I recognize the difficulties and challenges of your journey, and my aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore these aspects of your life.
In our work together, I will support you in focusing on the factors that impact your current functioning. Depending on your needs, we may use psychodynamic strategies to help you uncover and understand the deeper reasons behind your behaviors, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to manage more distressing experiences. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and ultimately find greater peace and understanding in your life.
My first session
I am able to offer a free half hour telephone or online consultation to decide if my expertise and experience can meet your needs.
We can discuss what your experience and expectations are for counselling and I can explore whether you will be in agreement to complete a first session. If you are, we can draft a contract together to find out how we can best work together.
Within our initial intake session or online communications my main concern will be to listen to you and seek to learn how we can work together most effectively.
